CAMP RAMAH IN CALIFORNIA SCHOLARSHIP FUND / FINANCIAL AID – Available October 2017
Camp Ramah Families in need of financial assistance for 2018 Summer Camp may apply for a Camp Ramah Scholarship. Scholarship/Financial Aid applications available – October 2017. Families are encouraged to apply for assistance and must be able to demonstrate their financial need by submitting the full application and required documents by the deadline. Awards will be announced in early April 2018.
In order to better serve the growing number of families seeking financial support, we have partnered with FACTS((NYSE: NNI)),a third party organization who provides such services to over 12,700 families, students and institutions, to collect the applications and required documentation.
FACTS will handle the collection of your financial aid application, supporting documentation and validating the information provided. Our Financial Aid Committee, comprised of dedicated lay leaders, will personally review each application and make all final award decisions.
Please be sure to review and print the instructions page after clicking on the link provided below. There is important information to use as a reference as you continue through the application. FACTS has a team of support to help you if you have questions along the way. Please note that no incomplete applications will be forwarded to us. Be sure to complete all required information and provide all required documentations.
The fee for this service is $25 and is charged by FACTS. You will be required to pay this amount upon completion of your application. This fee is charged by FACTS and NOT Camp Ramah in CA. If this fee causes your family a hardship at this time, please contact Randy Michaels at email@example.com to discuss options.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE RESOURCES
Los Angeles Campership Incentive Program: Designed for children who are first time campers to attend a Jewish residential camp for any length of time and who are enrolled in a public or non-Jewish private school. Visit www.onehappycamper.org for more information and/or to register. Applications for 2018 will be open soon!
2018 Rishon Program: Rishon is a Camp Ramah in California incentive program for first time campers who would not otherwise qualify for One Happy Camper incentives.
San Diego Federation Incentive: Designed for children who are first time at a Jewish overnight camp for 12 days or longer, reside in San Diego County, and attends a public or non-Jewish private school. Visit onehappycamper.org to apply for up to a $1,000 camp incentive. Jewish Federation & Family Services, Orange County: Orange County offers the Passport to Jewish Life® educational grant for a range of programs including summer camp. Rising 4th graders through age 22 are eligible. The maximum grant is $1,000 and grants are both merit-and need-based. PJ Library Goes to Camp Fund Incentive: Available to PJ-associated applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply click here. Enter your PJ Goes to Camp referral code on the first page of your online application (if you do not know your code, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org).

Each of the following incentive/scholarships must be contacted using the information below. They are not affiliated with Camp Ramah:
- Local Jewish Federation/Bureau of Jewish Education: Funding may be available through your local Jewish Federation or agency of Jewish education. Please contact them for details.
- Jewish Free Loan: Some cities have agencies offering interest-free loans towards Jewish summer camps. Please contact your local Jewish Federation to inquire about this service. Example: Jewish Free Loan Los Angeles – http://www.jfla.org
- Rabbi’s Discretionary Funds: Request funds through your Rabbi’s office
- Synagogue Funds: Request funds thru your synagogue (main office, Sisterhood, Men’s Club)
