Brian Fagan & Lisa Lainer-Fagan

Lisa Lainer-Fagan and Brian Fagan share a deep passion for Jewish camping and Jewish education. Their connection to Camp Ramah runs strong, as Lisa is one of more than twenty family members, including her father and his brothers in the 1950s, who were campers or counselors. Brian and Lisa have been inspired by the profound impact Ramah has had on their three children, Ari, Zev and Sara, valuing its ruach, love of Judaism, connection to Israel, and being an incubator of lifelong friendships and leadership in the Jewish community. In 2026, Lisa and Brian created a pilot initiative at Camp Ramah to subsidize children of Jewish day school educators. They hope to expand this program along with the support of others to assist the families of all Jewish communal professionals in sending their children to Jewish summer camps.

Lisa and Brian, active members at Valley Beth Shalom, met through their involvement with the Jewish Federation. Lisa has long been a dedicated leader in the LA Jewish community taking on a wide range of roles at their children’s Jewish schools, serving on the boards of BJE and Camp Ramah, and co-founding the David Labkovski Project. Brian is President of Selective Real Estate Investments. He has held numerous leadership roles at the Jewish Federation and advisory roles for de Toledo High School, Valley Beth Shalom, and the University of Judaism. He takes pride in supporting AIPAC and the Boy Scouts of America.

Lisa and Brian are grateful to their parents and grandparents for serving as role models and for helping shape the meaningful Jewish lives they have built, and they are committed to helping create meaningful Jewish journeys for others.

Samantha Platt Auerbach & Hannah Platt Rosin

Hannah Platt Rosin began her Ramah journey alongside her siblings and many cousins in the summer of 1999 in Abirim. She continued through Machon in 2005, followed by three summers as a counselor and three summers as a Rosh Edah. During her time as Rosh Edah, Hannah joined the Ramah California team year-round and eventually served as Program Director for three years. After transitioning professionally to become a therapist, she joined the Camp Ramah in California Board of Directors, where she currently serves. Ramah has had a profound impact on Hannah’s life professionally, Jewishly, and personally. Hannah lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Avery, and their two sons, Hayden and Corey.

Samantha Platt Auerbach is a lifelong Ramahnik who began as a Nitzanim camper and ultimately served as Rosh Edah for Tzophim. She credits Camp Ramah with launching both her professional and lay leadership journeys. After earning an MA in Inclusive Elementary Education from Columbia University Teachers College, she spent a decade teaching in Jewish Day Schools in New York and Los Angeles. Samantha was a founding member of the Ramah Young Alumni Leaders, has served on the Ramah Board, and currently serves on the boards of Prizmah and Sinai Akiba Academy, as well as the Ensuring the Jewish Future Committee at JFEDLA. Most importantly, Camp Ramah has shaped her personal life as well—she met her husband there as a Tzophim counselor, and together they are raising four sons who are current and future Ramahniks.

Proceeds from the Gala Celebration will ensure that our beloved camp continues to grow from strength to strength, allowing us to facilitate a Journey for a Lifetime for thousands of Ramahniks for generations to come.
