Shalom Nitzanim Families,
What an incredible first full week of camp! We kicked things off with our first Shabbat as a kehillah (community), and it was truly something special—filled with song, ruach (spirit), meaningful moments, and that classic Nitzanim energy we’re already becoming known for.
The week was packed with unforgettable highlights. We joined the whole machane (camp) for our camp-wide concert, where we sang our hearts out and enjoyed being together as one big Ramah family. Our edah also embraced this week’s middah (value) of maasim tovim (good deeds) by spreading kindness all around camp—giving out compliments, high-fiving our amazing camp directors, and, of course, getting in some quality time with the directors’ dogs!
The smiles were endless (and the pictures say it all). We wrapped up the week with “Rock Around the Ages,” a program where each bunk got to show off their theme—from glittering diamonds to wild jungle vibes—through song and dance as we celebrated on Kikar Tzion. It was a night of pure kef (fun), and Gesher brought the ruach!
We can’t wait for even more magic in the week ahead.
Shabbat Shalom,
Becca, Rosh Nitzanim
