Shalom Gesher Families,
Our first full week of camp was nothing short of amazing—and packed with kef (fun)! We started the week with our first Shabbat together as a kehillah (community), and it was filled with ruach (spirit), meaningful learning, and beautiful moments shared as an edah. Gesher really knows how to bring the energy, and it showed all Shabbat long.
Some of the biggest highlights this week included our all-camp concert, where we joined the rest of the machane (camp) to sing our hearts out and soak in the magic of Ramah ruach. On Tuesday, we headed out to Lake Casitas for a day at the water park, and we floated the lazy river for hours! Anytime we saw the giant water bucket about to tip, the whole edah broke into our edah song—just to make sure everyone knew who was bringing the hype.
Back at camp, our peulot erev (night activities) kept the fun going. Wednesday night was paint Twister (yes, it was as messy and hilarious as it sounds!), and on Thursday, we celebrated Leil Yisrael (Israel Night). We “traveled” through Israel—leaving notes at the Kotel, getting candy from the Tel Aviv shuk, and dancing our hearts out at a silent disco with Israeli music. Now, we’re looking ahead to our second and final Shabbat together—excited for double swim, lots of bunk time, and soaking up every last moment.
Shabbat Shalom from Gesher!
