Shalom Adat Shalom Families,
What an incredible first full week of camp it’s been! We kicked things off with our first Shabbat together as a kehillah (community), and it was filled with beautiful singing, meaningful learning, and that signature Adat Shalom ruach (spirit). It was the perfect way to come together as an edah and set the tone for an amazing week.
We also got to spend time as a full machane (camp) at our all-camp concert, where we sang our hearts out and celebrated being part of something bigger than ourselves. And the adventures didn’t stop there—Adat Shalom headed out to Ventura for a campout under the stars! We wrapped up in our sleeping bags, enjoyed the fresh night air, and deepened our bonds as a group. And we took things to new heights—literally—rock climbing in Malibu! The chanichim (campers) showed so much courage, encouragement, and teamwork, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they embraced the challenge.
We’re looking forward to another amazing week ahead.
Shabbat Shalom,
Jason, Rosh Adat Shalom
