Shalom Tzophim Families,
Our first full week of camp has been packed with adventure, creativity, and nonstop kef (fun)! We began with our first Shabbat together as a kehillah (community), and it was a beautiful way to pause, reflect, and connect—with plenty of ruach (spirit) and meaningful moments that set the tone for the week ahead.
This week, we stepped outside the regular camp routine for our tiyul, and it was truly a highlight. We cooked our own meals, held a talent show around the campfire, and spent a magical day kayaking and paddleboarding at Ventura Harbor. The bonds between chanichim (campers) grew even stronger, and we returned to camp feeling more united than ever.
Back at camp, we kicked off preparations for our infamous machazemer (musical play)! This summer, we’re putting on a Tzophim twist of The Lorax. Whether they’re taking center stage, singing in the ensemble, or helping design sets behind the scenes, every camper has an important role in making the magic happen. We can’t wait to share our creativity with the rest of camp!
And if that weren’t enough, Tzophim is suiting up for Maccabia as proud members of the Black Team! We’re bringing the ruach, the teamwork, and the spirit to show camp just what Tzophim is made of.
Shabbat Shalom from all of us,
Zoe, Rosh Tzophim
